The latest NADRA surgery at Deeplish Community Centre
More than 70 families from Rochdale were helped in accessing diplomatic services with a surgery at Deeplish Community Centre on Saturday (29 December 2018).
The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) consulate service from Pakistan helped local community members secure Visa cards and National Identity Cards for overseas Pakistanis.
The main purpose of the NADRA consulate service is help people like the elderly or children who are unable to access services at the main offices in Manchester.
NADRA cards are still in operation and are an essential requirement as a Visa, if those with dual nationality are travelling to Pakistan.
Mayor Mohammed Zaman and Councillor Aasim Rashid were present on the day to welcome the NADRA team.
They said: “This is a vital service offered on your door step at weekends to support the vulnerable, elderly and children.
“We appreciate the team’s efforts in resolving issues and queries relating to their NADRA cards and other related queries abroad.”
Faisal Javed, NADRA team manager, was also welcomed with his new team by Sohail Ahmad JP on behalf of Deeplish Community Centre.
He said: “We look forward in working with NADRA team in offering outreach services to local community members.”
