Heywood woman receives BBC North West Tonight Christmas star

A Heywood woman has been presented with a BBC North West Tonight Christmas star for going above and beyond this festive season.
Theresa Gibbons set up a social club, afternoon teas and cooked for her neighbours during bad weather, even going as far to arrange entertainers and choirs.
Wanting to return the favour, her neighbours nominated Theresa for the award, which was presented to her this December.
A stunned, but thrilled, Theresa said: “Thank you. It’s absolutely lovely and I’m chuffed to bits.”
