Littleborough residents want further traffic calming measures after car overturns
Date published: 19 December 2018
The crash at Dean Head
Residents of a street in Littleborough are set to lobby the council for further traffic calming measures.
Following a collision involving an overturned car on Saturday evening (15 December), residents of Dean Head feel the existing bollards are not enough.
The bollards were replaced in November after they were demolished during a collision in September, having initially being installed after residents voiced their concerns.
One resident said: “We’ve been told a speed camera is out, as there have not been any fatalities, but we will try again in the new year.
"Our concern is for anyone walking a dog, delivering a newspaper, the postman or anyone simply walking by."
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that West Yorkshire Police attended the incident from last weekend.
West Yorkshire Police has been contacted for comment.
