Unlicenced driver pulled over on way for kebab
Date published: 19 December 2018
The vehicle was seized by police
A road maintenance vehicle was pulled over this weekend as the driver was on his way for a kebab in Rochdale.
Police officers pulled the vehicle over at 2am on Sunday (16 December), where they discovered the driver didn’t hold a licence.
The driver also failed a roadside drug test and the vehicle, an asphalt hotbox used to keep asphalt warm when resurfacing roads, was seized.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police traffic said: “[This is a] Strange vehicle to be taking to the kebab shop at 2am.
"The driver was arrested as he didn't hold a driving licence and he failed a roadside drug test, both of which might explain his poor driving.”
