Ashworth Road expected to reopen "by Christmas"

Following a landslide, huge cracks appeared in the road, prompting its closure in 2017
Ashworth Road in Norden is expected to reopen by Christmas.
A Rochdale Borough Council spokesperson confirmed: “We’ve had some minor delays but are hoping it will be open by Christmas.”
Repairs began in April this year after the road was closed to all vehicles and pedestrians in October 2017 due to wide cracks covering the entire width of the road following a landslide.
In January, slight movement in tarmac up at the top by Hurst Wood was reported and a large crack appeared in the field leading to Dobbs Wood.
