Empire Christmas party
Local senior citizens enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party at Empire on Sunday (16 December).
The festive bash was hosted by last year’s Man of Rochdale and singing jeweller, John Swinden, alongside Empire’s Jon ‘DaFox’ Riley with fabulous live stage performances from Brendan Decko, Joe Dunne, Suzanne Hassett and Maddison Singer.
The free food buffet of hot roast meats, vegetables, sandwiches, cheeses, nibbles and cakes was enjoyed by all.
Jon said: “Every year we throw a big free event as we believe in the spirit of Christmas and offer a warm welcome to every local senior citizen giving them the chance for a good knees-up and get together, plus all funds raised are for Springhill Hospice.
“Everyone had such a wonderful day and we are so proud of our community.”
