After a busy year fundraising, Rochdale Round Table have ended the year on a high, thanks to the generous contributions of local residents on their annual can collection.
Members of the Round Table visited Caldershaw, Shelfield Lane, Shawclough, Burnedge and Nordale Park over five nights to collect both money and food for local causes, Rochdale Foodbank and Springhill Hospice.
Masses of food was collected for the foodbank, which goes through one tonne of provisions every week, whilst £1,630 was raised for the Hospice.
The Rochdale Round Table members would like to thank the people of Rochdale for their generous donations, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
The Round Table movement is all about making friends, having fun, trying things you've not done before, and putting something back into your local community.
Membership is open to men between the ages of 18 and 45 years irrespective of their religious beliefs or political opinions, although you need to work or live in the catchment area of your Table.
