Christmas shoebox surprises for RBH tenants
Date published: 15 December 2018
RBH has been out and about delivering Christmas shoebox surprises
Shoeboxes and Christmas goodie bags delivered by RBH employees have brought joy to tenants across the borough.
Employees from across RBH have been out delivering Christmas cheer in the form of shoeboxes packed with treats and vital items to help people who could do with a bit of help, especially around the season of goodwill.
Christmas shoeboxes stuffed with presents donated by RBH employees and local companies were delivered to people who had been nominated by their Neighbourhood Housing Officers.
The boxes contained items such as toothpaste, gloves, socks, shampoo and other small items that are often missed off the shopping list when times are tough. There were also a couple of treats and food items to brighten up the season.
Rowena Kirk, Director of Transformation, said: “Neighbourhood officers and tenants told us who in their neighbourhood could do with a bit of a lift. Our colleagues and local companies really get behind the project to ensure that we can surprise as many people as possible and show that people are thinking of them at this time of year.”
