RBH staff bring Christmas cheer to the residents of their Independent Living Schemes in the Rochdale borough
RBH employee volunteers brought Christmas cheer to hundreds of local residents with a series of carol concerts across the Rochdale area.
The troupe of carollers visited nine independent living schemes to entertain residents with carols, conversation, mulled wine and mince pies.
The RBH Carol Tour has become a Christmas tradition looked forward to by the residents at each of the schemes. The volunteers, dressed in festive finery and belting out a range of carols and Christmas songs, received enthusiastic and vocal appreciation from their audience.
The carollers made sure that each visit provided an exuberant, cheery and, above all, festive hour. At the conclusion of the singing, everyone shared a drink and stories about their own Christmas memories.
As a Mutual Society RBH is more than just a landlord and as well as enjoying entertaining people the Carol Tour is is an opportunity for RBH employees who don’t normally visit schemes to meet with residents.
