The Rochdale branch of Parkinson’s UK celebrated their 35th anniversary with a special luncheon at Rochdale Golf Club on Monday (27 November).
Over 100 guests were in attendance, including Mayor Mohammed Zaman and Councillor Peter Rush.
Entertainment was provided by soul singer Edwin Dukes and the afternoon was led by toastmaster Alan Calow.
Councillor Rush commented: “The generosity of the one hundred plus guests made it an exceptionally charitable occasion.”
Parkinson’s UK is a national charity which provides information and support to people with the progressive neurological condition, their families and carers.
The Rochdale group meets every first Thursday of the month at Castleton Community Centre between 1pm and 3pm.
