Tattoo studio equipment stolen

Date published: 29 November 2018

Tattoo equipment and other valuable goods were stolen from Lucky 13 Tattoo Studio in Whitworth on Tuesday (26 November).

Breaking into the studio in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the burglars broke three locks on the back door before smashing their way through a studded wall.

Elton Wilkinson, owner of Lucky 13 located on Market Street, said: “They took everything we need to run the business and provide for my family. It’s going to be a struggle.

“They took my personal drawings and my apprentice’s drawings, a total of 15 tattoo machines, all our ink and needles, literally everything we need to work.

“We had an alarm and CCTV, but I found the alarm smashed up on the floor and the CCTV was taken along with my laptop.

“I’ve been able to find more gear, so the studio has been open as normal. It hasn’t stopped me working, I’m back at it today.

“We’re going to try our best and I'm grateful for all the help, support and well wishes from our friends, customers and the public in general. I've also had support from the tattoo industry locally and even overseas offering to send machines and equipment to help me out.”

Lancashire Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
