Local six-year-old makes television debut on CBeebies’ Biggleton

Date published: 28 November 2018

A six-year-old boy from Rochdale has made his television debut, starring in CBeebies’ Biggleton.

Harrison Joyce, who attends local singing and drama classes, took part in an audition for the show, which sees children pretending to be grown-ups in the imaginary town of Biggleton.

After his audition, Harrison was invited to attend further castings at Media City and was then offered a part in the main cast as the shopkeeper.

The pre-school children’s series was filmed throughout the summer holidays.

His mum, Natalie Esmonde, said: “Harrison is so confident; he’s got a great personality and loves acting and singing.

“He would love to have more opportunities to be on stage or TV as he absolutely loved filming and made lots of new friends.”

Harrison also attended a special screening of the show in Manchester at weekend with his family and his best friend, Chloe.

The new series of Biggleton began on Monday 26 November and airs each morning at 8.20am.
