Children from Broadfield Community Primary School helped to start Day 3 of BBC Radio Manchester's sponsored walk to raise money for Children in Need.
Becky Want, radio and television broadcaster, started in Rochdale, today, Wednesday 14 November, to walk through the town centre, along the A58 through Heywood, through Bury town centre, through Little Lever, through Moses Gate Country Park and finish in Farnworth.
Gemma Holt, Deputy Head, Broadfield Community Primary School said: “Children and staff turned out to support Becky Want start her 13 mile walk from Rochdale to Farnworth.
“Children gave her hand drawn pictures of Pudsey Bear and wished her well on her walk.
“We also have lots of exciting activities going on to raise money for Children in Need in school on Friday and we are looking forward to seeing how much we have raised.”
