The Mancs win Rochdale Rocks! Battle of the Bands
Date published: 09 November 2018
Rochdale Rocks! Battle of the Bands was won by The Mancs, after a showcase of Rochdale’s best young musical talent on Thursday 1 November.
Supported by the Hornets Foundation, the event was held at Hollingworth High School in Milnrow, featuring budding musicians from Hollingworth High, Falinge Park High and Whitworth High, competing for the chance to cut a demo at Studio Studio.
The Mancs also have the chance to perform as the pre-match entertainment at a Rochdale Hornets match next season.
A Foundation spokesperson said: “Congratulations to The Mancs, who won the contest, as well as to all the other bands that took part. We’d also like to pass on our thanks to Idol Frets Pro Guitar Tuition, Rugby League Cares and Studio Studio for helping to organise the event.
We were proud to help out with showcasing some of the best young musical talent in Rochdale.”
