Golden success for Norden Jubilee Park

Date published: 02 November 2018

Norden’s Jubilee Park enjoyed golden success at the RHS North West in Bloom awards in Southport on Friday (2 November).

The green space was awarded a gold for the Pocket Park category, the only gold for the borough's parks, improving on last year’s entry success of a silver gilt and is the latest award to be picked up by the village park.

The small and scenic park once again received the Royal Horticultural Society’s highest grade of ‘Outstanding’ at the It’s Your Neighbourhood awards in Southport on Wednesday (31 October), the third accolade in as many years for the Norden space.

Paul said: "The latest awards won by Jubilee Park just show how the area is going from strength to strength. To win the highest award at nationals and then represent the parks of Rochdale is just unbelievable.

"It's just fantastic to be taking home these awards for our little park this year."
