Millions invested into new fleet of 464 buses

Date published: 01 November 2018

Bus group Transdev Blazefield has invested £3 million in a sparkling new fleet of 20 buses for Rosso’s 464 service, which links Accrington, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Bacup and Rochdale.

Proudly built in the North, each of the new buses is packed with customer-friendly features.

On the outside there’s illuminated ‘464’ logos to make sure you can’t miss this bus – and a specially-designed livery featuring local people going to work, school or the shops. The high standards continue inside the vehicles too, including fast free Wi-Fi, USB power at every seat, wireless charging for mobile devices and skylights in the roof to let more natural light in, as well as many more.

Transdev CEO Alex Hornby said: “When Rosso joined the Transdev family at the start of 2018, we promised an immediate investment in brand new, high spec vehicles in our first year, and here we are doing it on a new look 464 which is the lifeline bus route for Rossendale, connecting people to work, school and leisure opportunities.

"Our track record in Lancashire and across the North is all about growth and innovation to attract more people to discover the benefits of choosing the bus, freeing up our towns of congestion with lower emission solutions.

“We’re looking forward to hearing from our customers to find out what they like about the new buses, and it has been great to hear all the positive feedback so far.”
