Collision closes Sandy Lane between Crown Oil Arena and Edenfield Road

A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car on Sandy Lane at around 12.15pm on Wednesday (31 October).
He has been taken by road ambulance to Salford Royal Hospital with a head injury.
The collision has closed Sandy Lane in both directions between the Crown Oil Arena and Edenfield Road (1pm on Wednesday 31 October).
North West Air ambulance confirmed they sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle and the air ambulance.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to a collision involving a pedestrian on Sandy Lane. We have closed the road at the junction of Edenfield Road.”
