Arrests following robbery at Lowerplace Post Office

Three people have been arrested following a report of an armed robbery in Rochdale.
On Friday 18 July 2008, police were informed that a robber and two other offenders had demanded cash when they went into the Lowerplace Post Office on Oldham Road between 1.10pm and 1.20pm.
It was alleged they approached members of staff and one of the offenders demanded cash and told staff he was armed with a gun.
An investigation was launched, and a 52-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft and perverting the course of justice.
The three have been released on police bail until 22 October 2008.
Police are still appealing to anyone who was in the post office between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, or anyone with information, to call police on 0161 856 4646 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
