Rochdale school kids win chance to watch NFL game at Wembley

Date published: 24 October 2018

22 Rochdale schoolchildren will experience an NFL game for themselves live at London’s Wembley Stadium this Sunday (28 October) - all for free.

The prize comes following St Margarets, Boarshaw and Elm Wood Primary Schools involvement with the Jacksonville Jaguars American football sports programme, JagTag, led by sports coaches from EdStart.

The children from these schools who have impressed their coaches with their level of enthusiasm and participation for JagTag have been chosen and rewarded with the trip to Wembley, to see the NFL team live in action.

Manchester-based firm EdStart is leading the trip, and for every four children, one adult coach will be present in order to supervise the visit.

Chris Irwin, CEO of EdStart, commented: “It’s great to be able to offer an experience of this magnitude to young children who have shown a genuine interest in a new sports initiative rolled out in their school.

“The opportunity to go to Wembley Stadium to see the Jacksonville Jaguars in action, after having learned the basic fundamentals of the JagTag programme, will be invaluable to these kids, and will hopefully only serve to further their interest in participation in American football in the future.”
