St Cuthbert's Harvest lunch
Pupils at St Cuthbert’s donated their lunch money to CAFOD for this year’s harvest season.
The school’s new student leaders for fundraising joined forces with pupil and junior chaplains and Caritas ambassadors to host this year’s Harvest Soup Lunch for CAFOD, which works with the poorest and most needy communities in the world, including the area in Indonesia recently hit by the earthquake and tsunami.
Room 105 was buzzing as pupils and staff queued to be served a simple lunch of soup and a bread roll instead of their usual lunch.
They were then invited to donate what they would have usually spent on their lunch to CAFOD. During lunch, guests found out facts about the developing world and the difference they can make to reduce world hunger.
