A new mental health service, located at the Sudden Resource Centre in Rochdale, has officially opened to the public.
Approved mental health professionals (AMHPs) will work together to deliver key services to communities across Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
A dedicated team of AMHPs will deal with referrals under the Mental Health Act as well as providing expert advice, support and guidance to anyone requiring help and assistance.
Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, cabinet member for adult care, said: “This is about improving our already high quality mental health services to ensure our residents are provided with the best possible help and support. It is absolutely vital that people have confidence in the council’s mental health services and, thanks to a brilliant team of staff, they can be reassured we are delivering our services to the highest possible standards from one dedicated location.”
Mental health services are located at the Sudden Resource Centre, Silk Street, Rochdale, OL11 3EU. The hours of operation are between the 9am - 7pm Monday to Friday.
Referrals should be made to the new AMHP operational business support team on 01706 370286. The service will accept referrals up to 4.30pm, however, referrals requiring an urgent response after 16.30 will be referred to the emergency duty team on 0300 303 8875.
