Rochdale Football Club is looking to set up and launch a memory café at the Crown Oil Arena.
Leighanne Coyle said: "Held once a week, we hope it will become the hub of the community, welcoming those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia but also those who want to socialise in a relaxed environment.
"Planning is in its very early stages and we would firstly like to gauge interest in the initiative and put the feelers out to see if there is anyone who can volunteer a few hours a week to get involved.
"If this is something you’d be interested in helping out with, please email We will then hold a meeting in the near future to discuss how to take this project forward.
"It is all part of a wider effort towards becoming a dementia-friendly football club."
