Cannabis plants
Police have executed a number of warrants across Greater Manchester and the North West aimed at disrupting the cultivation and supply of cannabis.
This morning, Wednesday 3 October, officers from GMP’s Serious Crime Division and Rochdale searched four addresses in Heywood, three in Rochdale, one in Bury and another in Preston, Lancashire as part of Operation Houdini.
The operation was supported by colleagues from Lancashire Police.
Police recovered large quantities of cash and drugs during the raids.
Eight men aged between 20 and 44 were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class B drugs and money laundering offences, and remain in custody for questioning.
Anyone with information on drugs supply in the North West should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
