Social eating and strategic partnerships

Date published: 03 October 2018

Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Circle, along with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH), Southway Housing, Groundwork and Talk, Listen, Change have been commissioned to conduct a piece of research around social eating and the benefits this brings in reducing social isolation.

The HMR Circle part of this research will be based around the College Bank flats in Rochdale Centre and will be led by HMR Circle Special Projects Co-ordinator, Kim Ho.

Already off to a flying start, Kim is also working closely with RBH and Uzma Firdos from Rochdale & District MIND to ensure that all sections of the community are represented.

HMR Circle is also working with Helen Sanderson from Wellbeing Teams and Martin Routledge from Community Circles to form an informal Strategic Partnership.

This partnership will see the three organisations working together to deliver a new combined style of service offer.

Conversations are ongoing with various commissioning bodies and social housing providers who are interested in this new style of service innovation.
