Middleton Oktoberfest ‘one of the most successful yet’

Date published: 02 October 2018

This year’s Oktoberfest in Middleton was ‘one of the most successful yet.’

Approximately 400 people turned out in force to sing, dance and enjoy the free event on Saturday 29 September.

Entertainment throughout the day was provided by The Late Show, Covered in Punk, Black Garter, Assembly Point, Identity and Son Primo.

Microbrewers Serious Brewing and Bollington's provided real ale on the day, with one vendor selling out completely.

Middleton Town Centre Management (MTCM) also had their own marquee bar for people who wanted alternative tipples.

Wood-fired pizzas were served by I Knead Pizza and The Fish Finger Bar served a twist on that classic childhood favourite: the humble fish finger butty.

Victoria Davies, town centre and market manager, said: “The weather was wonderful and the people of Middleton were amazing.

“Both Adam [Torevell] and I were really pleased and proud to see everyone supporting their home town.”
