The Senior B team also put in a good performance.

Trainer Kirsty Fearnehough, who set up K Stars in 2016, said: “I am so proud of every single one of my dancers and how far they have come in such a short space of time. They turn up to practice nights week in, week out and put so much effort into everything they do and strive to succeed, and all our results definitely paid off.

“Our troupe moto is 'Passion, Purpose and Pride' and they all show this at every competition.

"I would also like to take the time to mention our main sponsors, Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, Kirkholt Million, The Wellfield Club and many others that have helped to get us where we are today, have our new dresses made and all the things we needed to make our first championships the best.

“We have now just set back up for our second season and we are hoping to do well again this coming year. Well done to everyone.”

K Stars are based at St Thomas Church in Kirkholt, training every Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm.
