A man is fighting for his life after falling from the Vets 4 Pets building
A man is fighting for his life after he fell from the roof of a building in Middleton on Saturday (29 September).
Shortly before 2.40pm, police were called to the Vets4Pets building, formerly the Black Bull Inn, on Rochdale Road to reports that a man was on top of a building and throwing roof tiles below.
Officers attended and attempted to engage with the man but he fell from the roof a short time later.
The man sustained serious injury and is currently in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
In line with force policy where there is police contact when serious injury is sustained, a referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
