Mia Linnik-Holden and Andrei Toader triumphant in All England Ballroom and Latin

Date published: 01 October 2018

World champions Mia Linnik-Holden and Andrei Toader have continued to dance up a storm in 2018, after triumphing in the All England U19 and U21 Ballroom, and U19 Latin.

The Middleton dancers also placed second in Amateur Ballroom, U21 Latin, and third in Amateur Latin.

The dedicated duo, who have rapidly gone from strength to strength over the years, have continued to top the dance scene since rising to the youth ranks earlier this year.

Mia and Andrei placed in the top six youths at the UK Closed Championships in July, with a third place in U21 Ballroom (with rule 10 for second place) and fifth in Latin (rule 10 for fourth place and placing second in Paso).

Their stellar performances ensured that the talented performers were once again invited to the annual BDF youth dance training camp for the fourth year.

This year has also seen the pair jet across the world for a week-long ballroom training camp in Ukraine, taking part in the Manheim Open Dance Festival in Germany and compete in a contest in Boston, USA.

They also placed first in both the DPA junior Ballroom and Latin 2017-2018 league tables and were presented with prize cheques earlier this year.

The Allied Open marked their first youth competition where Mia and Andrei were awarded first place in the Amateur Ballroom category, plus second place in U21 Ballroom and in Latin.

The teenagers became junior world champions after their partnership began in May 2015, racking up numerous titles in the junior ballroom and Latin ranks.

Mia began dancing at the age of six after asking her parents for lessons, and Andrei, who is originally from Romania, started dancing at the age of three.
