BACP hosts a coffee morning in support of people living with cancer

A group of ex -colleagues and volunteers came together to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Bangladesh Association and Community Project (BACP) on Ramsay Street, Rochdale that helped raise vital money for Macmillan Cancer Support for people living with cancer on Thursday.

The cakes, pakoras, samosas and other homemade food items all came from donations. People took part in the 'guess the weight of the cake' competition.

The cake for this item was donated by Muhammad Shahid from 'It's All About Cakes'. Thamim Indian Restaurant and Arif Cash & Carry also made donations.

Arus Miah, a cancer sufferer, said. "I remain grateful for the financial help and other support I received from Macmillan during the days when I was at my lowest point, physically and psychologically." 

Habibul Ahad, Centre Manager said: “Our special thanks go to Taslima, Ferdousi, Kamrul and Majeda, all who volunteered for BACP to organise such an event  in conjunction with Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning initiative' commented the.”
