Dale’s Silver 60s group held a Coffee Day on Wednesday afternoon, raising almost £200 as part of the Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Day with all donations going to Macmillan.
The Dale first team squad and management attended, donating to the cause and enjoying cups of coffee and a chat with the Silver 60s.
Cakes and biscuits were donated by those who attended, as well as a number of prizes for a raffle, which were all won by members from Dale’s Silver 60s.
Dale’s Silver 60s is open to senior citizens in the Rochdale borough, with activities such as walking football/netball, mat bowls, cards and they are always looking to welcome new members.
The group takes place between 1.00pm-3.00pm every Wednesday with free transport available to those wishing to attend as well as refreshments throughout the day.
