Memorial bowls competition at the Summit Hotel, Heywood to celebrate the life of the late Kelly Hadaway
Sixteen local players took part in a special memorial bowls competition at the Summit Hotel in Heywood to celebrate the life of the late Kelly Hadaway, who died recently from cancer.
The rain kept away to allow a day of bowls with barbecue and fun games for the whole family together with a giant raffle.
A special trophy was awarded to the competition winner, Paul Wakeling, and it is hoped to make it an annual event.
Over a hundred people attended and helped raise £1,500 for Springhill Hospice, which looked after Kelly, and does so for many others.
Co-organiser, Michael Clough said: “We would like to thank everyone for helping raise such a fantastic amount and all who donated raffle prizes, food, money and their time to make the day as special as it was.”
