Wildhouse Lane at Crofthead Drive where the streetlights end
A petition has been launched calling for streetlights on Wildhouse Lane.
One of the borough’s darkest roads, there are no streetlights along the entire 50mph stretch between Milnrow Road and Croft Head Drive.
The unnamed author of the petition wrote: “For many years Wildhouse Lane has been an accident spot due to there being no lighting on the 50mph stretch.
“When we first moved into Littleborough in 1973, the traffic was nowhere near as busy as it is today, and this stretch of road is dangerous for cyclist and motorist alike.”
Four people have signed the petition at the time of publication.
