Man with knife detained in Littleborough

A man with a knife was detained in Littleborough on Thursday morning (6 September).
After entering a shop with a knife, police officers attended and detained the man under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 10.05am to reports of a man with a knife.
“Officers attended and detained the man under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.”
