Rochdale Christadelphians

Our Bible hour this Sunday, 2 September, at 4:30pm, is on the subject ‘Where is God in this world of trouble?’.

There are many problems in the world now, both major crises in the news and also everyday stresses and difficulties.

Looking through the Bible, we can see that God uses these problems to influence both specific people and entire nations.

Daniel chapter 4 verse 17 says that ‘the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men’. In fact, the Lord Jesus prophesied that in the last days there would be ‘people fainting with fear’, and that ‘the powers of the heavens will be shaken’ (Luke 21 v 26), referring to political powers.

So, if God is at work, why are so many bad things happening?

If we carry on reading Luke chapter 21, we can see Jesus tells that ‘then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory’. This is God’s plan for the world, and we can see everything is coming together.
