Over £6,900 raised for local man's funeral

Fundraiser at Empire, Rochdale
A family fun day to raise money for a local man’s funeral raised almost £7,000.
The event to celebrate the life of Simon Field took place at Empire, Rochdale on Saturday 25 August.
A total of £5,188.10 was raised on the day, in addition to £1,750 via GoFundMe, totalling £6,938.10
Mr Field died suddenly at the age of 37 on Thursday 9 August, leaving behind his partner and a young daughter.
Auctions and a tombola with fabulous prizes were held throughout the day from 12pm until 6pm, with free activities for young children.
