Thirteen-year-old Sophie Green will be top of the class in the style stakes when she returns to school in September.
Sophie, who attends Middleton Technology School, was the winner of the Middleton Shopping Centre’s ‘Win a School Uniform’ competition.
Residents were invited to nominate the person who they felt deserved the prize and comments posted about Sophie included:
"Sophie is a wonderful sister to her little brother and is like mother hen"
"Sophie is in all the top sets at school"
"Sophie likes 'The Works' and loves to read and write"
"Sophie has done really well at school"
"Sophie is always well behaved"
We believe Sophie is a deserving winner of this competition!
Sophie, along with her mother, Catherine, and her sixteen-year-old sister, Lucie, were welcomed to the Middleton Shopping Centre on Saturday by Lynette Howgate, centre manager and Nicky Barrett, promotions co-ordinator to visit shops and stores within the centre to collect her prize.
During her visit, Sophie was looked after by Mr and Mrs Arshad of Icon Clothing, Rita and her team at Shoe Zone, Jonathon and his team at Simon One and Alison and her team at The Works as they all helped her get her new uniform, shoes, bag and school essentials together.
After her day of retail therapy, she was also treated to a break and chocolate cookie at Costa by Kelly and her team.
Lynette Howgate said: “It was such have pleasure to go on this shopping trip with Sophie and her family.
“She is a truly well-deserved winner and was thrilled with her new school outfit.”
“I would also like to thank our retailers for their involvement with this competition and to thank them for their part in making this day special for Sophie.”
