Halifax Road reopened

Halifax Road reopened as 4.36pm on Friday (24 August), police have confirmed.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The road was reopened at 4.36pm and police are helping move the traffic along.”
The road was closed from the early hours of the morning due to a collision, which has seen a woman taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs and driving without a licence.
