Date published: 23 August 2018

Rochdale Islamic Academy students are celebrating their GCSE results.

The headteacher Dr Haneef said: “We are very proud of the consistent efforts of the students who have outdone themselves with their perseverance.

“This year’s cohort is to be especially congratulated with the change in the new GCSEs demanding more rigour.

“This was the first year that the boys' school have taken GCSEs and they have achieved some spectacular results.

“We are proud beyond words to announce the outstanding achievement of the students at Rochdale Islamic Academy who scooped 18 Grade 9s between them, the highest grade possible and a truly outstanding grade equivalent to an upper A*.
