Best-ever GCSE success at Oulder Hill

Date published: 23 August 2018

Students celebrated their best-ever GCSE results on Thursday morning (23 August) at Oulder Hill.

Assistant Headteacher, Lyn Sanderson said: “Oulder Hill are delighted to announce that the hard work of our staff and students has paid off.

“This year has seen an improvement in attainment and progress. Despite the challenges of a new curriculum and changes to GCSE gradings, students have achieved highly, including over 250 GCSEs at Grade 7 and above.

“It is impossible to make comparisons with previous year’s results, however, we are particularly pleased with the way in which our students have risen to the challenge, showing resilience and determination when faced with an increased number of examinations at the end of Year 11.

“Our students have equipped themselves with the skills and knowledge to take them to their next stage of their journey – wherever that may be.

“We wish them the best of luck for their futures.”
