Mayor Mohammed Zaman at the Spotland Community Centre Pakistan Independence Day Celebration
Spotland Community Centre (SCC) hosted the Pakistan Independence Day/Eid celebration for the local community on Tuesday 14 August.
The event was well attended and amongst those present wer the Mayor Mohammed Zaman, Councillor Cecile Biant amd SCC committee members.
Asghar Ali, centre manager of Spotland Community Association, said: “The event was a celebration of diversity within our local community.
“SCC is working very hard towards enhancing community relations and social inclusion.
“The event was a great success and SCC hope to repeat this next year.
“Activities included henna art, face painting, clothes stalls and fun hampers.
Mayor Zaman said: "It was good to attend such a wonderful event at Spotland Community Centre, thanks to all who helped."
