Primary school receives £1,500 in funding

A Rochdale primary school is set to receive a funding boost from Whitbread.

Thanks to the Raise and Match scheme, Whittaker Moss Primary School is set to receive £1,500 in matched funding.

A representative for the school said: “Our fabulous treasurer, Rachel Greenwood, works for Whitbread Plc, which runs a scheme called ‘Raise and Match’ – matching any fundraising that their employees take part in.

“Rachel applied to the scheme and she has found out that Whitbread are donating £1,500 in recognition of her efforts at our Summer Fair.

“This is an amazing boost to our funds, so thank you very much to both Rachel and Whitbread.

“If any other parents work for Whitbread, or any other companies that run similar schemes, please let us know.

“We have got some great events coming up this year and more matched funding would be fantastic.”

Raise and Match is a scheme that supports team members fundraising in their own time for charities and good causes they are personally passionate about.

If they have worked for Whitbread for more than 12 months and raise £250 or more, Whitbread will match pound for pound up to a maximum of £750 for an individual’s fundraising efforts and up to £1,500 for group fundraising efforts
