Greenbooth Reservoir and to Ashworth Reservoir, Norden Rochdale
Water was transferred from Greenbooth Reservoir to Ashworth Reservoir, Norden, on Saturday.
A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “We are installing some temporary pumps and a temporary pipeline to pump water from Greenbooth reservoir to nearby Ashworth Moor reservoir.
“Both reservoirs belong to us and serve the Rochdale area, so we are taking advantage of the fact that Greenbooth is quite full to pump some of its water into Ashworth Moor, which is lower.
“This is part of our ongoing management of water supplies in our region as a result of the recent dry weather.”
