Our Bible hour this Sunday, 19 August at 4:30pm, is on the subject ‘God’s invitation to you’.

Jesus told many parables, in order to teach people things that he wanted them to learn, and also to encourage people to ask questions about what they meant.

In some of these parables he speaks of a marriage, to which many people are invited. In each of these some of those invited come, and others do not, through ignoring the invitation, or are rejected because they failed to prepare adequately.

This Marriage feast speaks of a time in the future when Jesus will be united with those who believe.

The prospective guests are everyone who has heard about the Kingdom of God. We have the chance to be ‘in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming’ – and he will reward those who have obeyed him with eternal life.
