Building tools stolen from van

Date published: 08 August 2018

A number of building tools were stolen from a van on Bernard Street in Rochdale on 2 August.

A set of Milwaukee fuel 18v drills, Makita grinders, SDS hammer drill and a planer were all taken from the van during the early hours of the day.

Shaun Murphy, of New Day Building Maintenance, said: “I am a one-man band and cannot afford for things like this to happen. Twice in one year, over £1,500 worth of tools have been taken.”

A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called shortly before 5am on 2 August to reports of a theft of property from a van on Bernard Street, Rochdale.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
