The Pennine Acute security team has won a national award for ‘Best Team,’ award at the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) awards held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
The awards celebrate the talent, dedication, skill and bravery shown by security people of BSIA member companies in their everyday duty.
Tony Carter, Group Head of Security at The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, said: “It’s a real privilege for the security team to pick up this prestigious award and it is testament to the hard work they put in day in, day out, making sure that our patients, staff and visitors are kept safe and that the Trust’s premises and property are secure at all times. Well done to everyone in the team, you have done a sterling job and continue to do so, and I am really proud of each and every one of you.”
James Kelly, Chief Executive, BSIA said: “I would like to pay tribute to our winners and finalists for some truly outstanding displays of customer service, teamwork, technical aptitude, bravery and courage, and for their overall commitment to both the organisations they work for and the industry they represent. Often the work of our industry is under the radar when it comes to recognising the contributions of the various services that are involved in dealing with the security incidents we read about locally and nationally, and I hope that today’s celebration of these exemplary individuals on the national stage goes some way to remedying this.”
“We look forward to the British Security Awards becoming the national event that recognises the true talent, commitment and achievements of the industry’s finest.”
The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group along with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Together the Alliance runs five hospitals and community services including Salford Royal, The Royal Oldham, Fairfield General in Bury, Rochdale Infirmary and North Manchester General.
The awards were sponsored by Camberford Law plc (Security Personnel Awards and drinks reception); Securitas UK (International Partnership); NSI (Apprentice Installer); OSC Group (VIP Reception) and SaferCash (Bravery Award).
