Summer fun in park

Young families are invited to have ‘Fun in the Park’ on Thursday 7 August, when a host of summer activities will be held in Balderstone Park, Rochdale and at the nearby library. The event, being staged in partnership with Rochdale Council’s library service and Sandbrook Children’s Centre will include a nature trail, craft activities, sawdust maze, bug hunt and Bookstart book crawl.
Maureen Watson, from Rochdale Borough Council said she hopes the day will show parents and children that libraries can be a fun place to visit: “Hopefully the sun will be shining, we’re looking forward to a beautiful day of fun activities.”
Everyone is welcome and the event runs from 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm.
