onePT have chosen Springhill Hospice as their Charity of the Year
A local gym has chosen Springhill Hospice as its charity of the year.
Members and staff of onePT stepped up to their first challenge of raising money for patient care at Springhill Hospice, and will travel to Cheshire to take on the challenge of Rough Runner, the TV themed obstacle course race that is a mix of Total Ninja, Gladiators and Wipeout.
Dr Neil Fell PhD, onePT said: “We are delighted to be supporting Springhill Hospice. When it came to choosing a charity of the year, we put it to our members who they would like to support and the vote was absolutely unanimous.
“I know that a number of our members’ lives and families have been touched by the fantastic work and support provided by Springhill Hospice and after the success of taking part in Rough Runner we look forward to organising and taking part in further events to help us raise as much money as we can over the next 12 months.”
Lillie Winterbottom, of Springhill Hospice, said: “Having chosen to support hospice care in Rochdale throughout 2018, the team’s determination to complete the obstacle strewn challenge, was bolstered by the knowledge that the money they raise over the next 12 months will be going to help local people when it is most needed.”
