Rochdale Christadelphians

Date published: 29 June 2018

Our Bible Hour this Sunday, 1 July at 4:30pm is on the topic ‘Who wrote the Bible?’.

There are several answers to this – some may say about 40 different people, 35 of whom are named in the Bible and/or Jewish tradition.

Others may debate whether even those named are the actual authors, perhaps doubting the authenticity of the scriptures.

As Christadelphians, we believe that the Bible is infallible, and therefore that all the Biblical references stating who wrote a book or passage are accurate.

There is also a good case to be made for many of the authors suggested by Jewish traditions.

However, we believe there is something more important behind this. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 says that ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness’.

Our Bible class will be held, on Tuesday 3 July, on the subject ‘I will give you bread from heaven’.
