Teenager assaulted in Middleton

Shortly before 1.30am this morning, Saturday 19 July, police were called to the New Inn on Long Street, Middleton, following reports a man had been assaulted.
A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody for questioning.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Long Street area of Middleton last night to contact them.
