Man charged after CCTV circulated

A man has been charged after CCTV images of a robbery in Rochdale were circulated by the media.
On 20 March 2008 detectives in Rochdale appealed for witnesses to a knifepoint robbery at Firgrove Newsagents' on Rochdale Road.
Footage of the woman shop assistant being threatened by the offender was issued as part of the appeal.
Information was subsequently received and officers arrested David McMillan (born 17/06/85) of The Circle, Stretford, on Tuesday 15 July 2008.
He was charged with robbery on Wednesday 16 July 2008 and was due to appear before magistrates yesterday, Thursday 17 July 2008.
